(v2.3) Processing of a package and possible package states (workflow)
(v2.3) Processing of a package and possible package states (workflow)
A package goes through various states during the application workflow. The administrator should know these possible states and possible transitions between them, so he can properly configure the application and understand its behavior. The workflow is illustrated on the following diagram:
The expiration times and therefore automatic package transitions between states can be set in Settings - Configuration - Packages - Expiration.
For individual packages the administrator can disable the automatic expiration by setting the package as persistent. Such a package then does not automatically transition between states (does not expire), until the administrator changes this setting again.
