On the Basic settings screen it is possible to toggle the archive function and select the application language. The following items are here:

Application version

Not for configuration, only displays information about the running version of SOFiE application. For detailed information about versions, see Release notes.

Archive enabled

Enables or disables the archive functionality. If the archive is enabled, deleted packages are moved to the archive after expiration. If disabled, the package contents is erased. See Workflow.

Allow download of clean files from quarantined packages

Enables or disables the option for users to download clean files even from quarantined packages. A package is quarantined, if in any file within a problem is found by one of the detection engines.

If enabled, users can download files even from quarantined packages. But only those, that are marked as clean and so no problem was found in them by any of the detection engines. If a ZIP archive is created for such a package, it will also contain only the clean files, not the problematic ones.

If disabled and a package is quarantined, no files from it can be downloaded, no matter if clean or not.

Allow anonymous users to send packages

Enabled by default and allows anonymous (not logged in) users to send packages to registered application users or domains.

If disabled, it is so called “request only” mode, which means anonymous users cannot send packages by themselves and can only react to a request sent by a registered user. Also sets and fixes the welcome page content to the Login state (ignoring settings in Settings - Configuration - Appearance).

Default language

Sets the default language of the web application and e-mail notifications. The language of the web application can be changed by every user in the top right corner of the screen, but the e-mail notifications are always in the default language selected here.

The default type of a package

Sets the default type of a package sent out by a logged in user, if the user does not change it and if he has the permission to send such a type.
