Settings - API tokens

Here the administrator can manage the API tokens for access to the application API, usable by third party applications.

New token can be created using the Add button above the list, see Create new API token.

Existing API tokens in the list can be either deleted or modified (name and allowed IP ranges) using the buttons on the right side.

The API v2 was implemented in the version 2.4. It significantly extends the features available and introduces two kinds of access (and so also of tokens):

• user - for actions done on behalf of a user, mainly package management (uploading, downloading, etc.)

• administrator - for action done on behalf of an administrator, like creating users and API tokens.
